With the new season fast approaching we have a number of positions we are looking for volunteers to fulfil. All roles will include complimentary entrance to the game, and you will join part of a great team helping to keep the club running.
The following roles are currently available –
Running of the club shop for home games, this involves keeping track of items sold, ensuring stock levels are kept adequate. The shop will be open 90 minutes before kickoff and then closed at the start of the second half. We are happy to have a number of people on a rota for this position if a high number apply
Match Day Stewards
With increased attendances the past season and further increases expected, we are looking for people to help out with stewarding, whether this is helping at the gate to ensure fans and guests enter the stadium safely, to ensuring changing rooms are secure during the game.
Sadly with the recent passing of David Fry, we are now looking for a club photographer, ideally the individual would be able to make both home and away games, the content would be uploaded to the website. The role also includes the taking of official club photos i.e player pen pics and team photo.
Using the ‘PUNDiT’ app, we are looking for a number of fans who would be interested in providing matchday commentary. It works best with 2 people at a time, We’d also like to provide this coverage for away games as well, so travelling fans who want to get involved would be great as well.
Match Day Video Recording
We are looking for someone to record the match day footage and produce a highlights package that can be uploaded to the clubs new YouTube channel, the ability to also attend away games would be advantageous as well. The highlights package would also include an interview with the manager and man of the match.
PA Match Day Announcer
An important role withing the club and a position we already have a couple of volunteers for, we are looking to ensure we can cover all games over the season. The role will involve welcoming people into the ground over the tannoy, reading out team sheets and announcing goals scored/substitutions. It also includes announcing the relevant match day sponsors, main sponsors and also any player sponsors as and when they score.
We will be looking to record the first episode of our podcast in between the last pre season game and first league game, this will be a monthly show talking all things Cables. We are looking for fans to get involved each month, whether this is a regular group or changes each time. If you think this is something you would enjoy then please apply
If you are interested in any of the roles please contact director Jamie Weston via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
